UPDATED HAIR CARE + NEW FAVS
So very recently, I decided to chop my hair! 22 inches of long, long extensions to now sitting just below my shoulder! I was getting that winter itch + becoming a soon to be new momma again where you just need a change. I get so many questions on my hair and who does it for me, so I decided to answer them here with some updated products that I have been using since the last hair care blog I did!
How do you get your hair done?
I get my hair done by the best stylist ever, Bailey (@baileythestylist) the owner of BELOW HAIR STUDIO. Normally, I always just get a full head of highlights but this last appointment she bleached my roots everywhere giving me more of a full white blonde look. It is hard to find a good stylist these days that gives you that perfect white blonde.. but Bailey always nails it. She’s the queen of blonde hair I tell everyone. I usually go 6-8 weeks in between appointments and if needed I’ll come in between that for a quick toning. Also, I don’t have extensions in! This is all my natural hair.
What is your natural hair color?
Dirty blonde/ bit of strawberry blonde around my hairline.
What shampoo+ conditioner do you use?
I use Unite shampoo and conditioner and also the Pantene Pro V shampoo and conditioner. These both leave my hair feeling super good and full of body. They usually allows me more time in between washes than other products I have used. Moisturizing and adds a ton of shine! I would definitely recommend these both.
Do you have a favorite purple shampoo?
My favourite purple shampoo right now is the Unite Blonde Purple Shampoo. I use purple shampoo every other wash to keep a bright toned blonde. You can also mix it with a dab of regular shampoo if you don’t want the full effect.
What products do you use to keep your hair healthy?
I love Unite leave-In Spray (I use this when I get out go the shower) also the Unite Serum I mix with Bedhead Smoothing Cream and I use these when my hair is wet and brushed out. Makes my hair smell amazing and it drys really nice. I also recently added a hair mask once a week and I find my hair feeling super healthy still during these winter months.
Which styling products do you love?
After blow drying and styling I use Unite Texturizing Spray to add extra texture and volume for a fuller look and then to smooth the frizz i’ll use the Unite Serum again! I use the Eleven Australia dry shampoo everyday, all over my roots even if I wash my hair it stilll just gives me perfect volume.
What do you use to curl your hair?
I am super excited about a few new tools I have recently been using! First is the T3 Whirl Trio that has 3 wand sizes to interchange (1 inch, 1.25 inch, 1.5 inch) for all kinds of curls! I am loving how great it works. I also just recently purchased a Beach Waver which is like a 3 barrel iron and gives such a fun wave (and under $40). Also using the T3 Cura Hairdryer which is so beautiful but also drys my hair nicely leaving it soft and smooth.
