GETTING UNSTUCK
A topic for those of you who are feeling this type of way….
“I feel stuck.:
“I’ve lost momentum.”
“I don’t know how to get back to where I was.”
Anyone relating to this right now? I think alot of the time we feel alone, when really we all go through these phases. Take it from me…. I have these moments ALL THE TIME TOO. All successful people have these, and the top income earners in your company definitely have been there. I think it’s just so important we acknowledge and let everyone know that this is normal. You’re going to experience them again and again and still 5 years into your career they will creep up on you.
Think about the days you don’t feel the motivation to go to the gym. Does this mean you throw in the towel and give up on your fitness journey altogether? Are you that person that constantly stops and restarts to get healthy/fit? Maybe you’re that person that is feeling like if you don’t love going to the gym then maybe your just not cut out for it. That if you miss a week or two of the gym you just aren’t cut out for the fit life and jumping back into it just isn’t an option? Are you relating to this at all?
It is up to you to make a decision right now to put those gym clothes on and get your butt to a gym or outside for a run! That’s it guys. Stop always questioning yourself, and overthinking it all. You constantly get inside your head and telling yourself you’re stuck when you can just grab your running shoes and doing the things that you know will make you feel 100% better.
Mindset really is everything. If you’re on my team in business you already know personal development is a non negotiable. We need to NOT let these temporary feelings set us back days, weeks and months.
I am going to give you a few of my top tips for overcoming mental roadblocks and the mindset of “being stuck.”
Your business didn’t quit on you. Your feet are not stuck on the ground. People did not stop succeeding in your industry. You decided to sit in the feelings of “what if” rather than having an abundance mindset to keep going and continue to learn and grow each day.
PRACTICE GRATITUDE - you CAN’T skip this step. It is the most powerful tool I have used for almost two years now and has helped me to get out of my own head and to remember how much I have and how far I've come. I have gone to gratitude in some of my loneliest days - seperation/becoming a single parent to two toddlers. While you’re sitting there feeling unsure, uninspired, and even like you want to throw in the towel, you’re vibrating energy frequency possible. The mind is a muscle, and just like we go to the gym to work on muscles, you also need to exercise your mind consistently. Every morning it has become a non negotiable for me - The Five Minute Journal. 5 minutes in the morning, and 5 minutes before bed. Wherever you are just writing your thoughts in that moment, thanking God for my family, a home over our heads, my business growing and the fact I can work from anywhere on my terms, my children’s health… I do this everyday so I can wake up to a clear mind and have a beautiful day with a strong heart.
TAKE INVENTORY - What are you eating/ drinking? Who are you hanging around? What are you listening to? When people feel down they will usually run to comfort —> foods full of sugar/fat, trash tv, sleeping or drinking to much and hanging around people who don’t hold you accountable. It’s not a good place too be in and I have been there but the business I am in has made me re-evaluate and drop bad habits. I had to stop being the victim and take charge of my life. Try to lean into things that that will get you out of a funk when your not feeling your. best. Podcasts have been a staple in my days and making me feel good and inspired. These are easy to throw on while you’re getting ready, in shower speaker, driving, go for a walk. Nourish your body with good food and less alcohol. Most importantly start hanging out with people who also have this lifestyle and won’t let you slip down slope. People who see the potential in you will be honest with you & will help you in times you might not feel your best. Hold yourself accountable! Take inventory of your surroundings and your time and make those changes if you’re not being fulfilled!
3.SETTING GOALS + DAILY TO DO LIST - Look I do see this alot, especially people new in careers and just want to 10x it right away. Going 150kms, you’re eventually going to burn out in a week and be at the same place and same cycle over and over again. Start small. Small goals and a daily to do list is key. A few of my. strategies as a busy stay ay home mom/business owner/single parent. Every Sunday its a fresh start - laundry all put away, dishes done and away, fridge stocked for the week, and I organize my business. Takes a few hours and I am set up for the week ready to go! I set goals for my week ahead. How many. days do I want to go to the gym? How many new business partners/customers do I want to introduce to my business? How many tiktoks/reels am I going to do? Keep it reasonable to avoid burnout. At the end of each day in my notes I will write what my focus for the next day will be in two different categories: business and personal. Monday - maybe all about my customers/ client check ins, run reports/send thank you cards/ follow up/place orders. Tuesday - I have an in person coffee meet up with team + I need to post a reel. Set days/tasks! This making sense? If you do something each day you’re not going to fall bribed. Consistency always wins and what most people are missing. Before bed tonight write out some must do things for tomorrow and don’t go to bed until its done!
REMEMBER, you’re not stuck.. you’re learning. You’re growing.
